New support offer for Men affected by cancer in Newark

The SFHT Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service the Newark YMCA Community and Activity Village are proud to announce their partnership with the Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) Charity.  Together, over the coming months they will be hosting LGFB sessions for both men and women.

Look Good Feel Better For Men – Facing Cancer With Confidence will arrive in Newark on the 22nd May 2025. This is the first locally run workshop (more dates to follow) as this has never been offered in the SFHT locality – our closest alternative venue for these events is Maggies Centre at  Nottingham City Hospital.

Please help us to recruit to these sessions by spreading the word with colleagues working with people affected by cancer, your patients / serviced users affected by cancer, or even your personal connections who may be experiencing cancer.

The sessions are open to men with, or who have had, a cancer diagnosis – any stage of the pathway.

All attendees will receive a goody bag with skin care / shaving products including a generous bottle of Aftershave and advice regarding

Skincare / Grooming/ body image / nutrition / fitness.   Free and Ample parking on site.

With consent – professionals can send pt details and contact numbers to MCISS and we will speak with person and support the booking process
